Independent Study ID
A public credential card and verification layer for independent learning — now connected to the standalone ISID platform on independentstudy.id.
Professional cards. QR profiles. Reviewable credential records.
A credential system built like a security protocol
ISID is designed to issue and verify independent learning credentials instantly, securely, and transparently. The goal: cryptographic proof that a credential exists and is valid — with zero personal data leakage.
Verification
Public cards show credential review status clearly: approved records, awaiting approval records, and flagged/under-review records are separated by status. QR codes point back to the holder’s public credential profile, while private uploaded evidence stays private unless explicitly made public.
What the public ISID platform does
ISID separates public credential display from private evidence review. Learners can publish a card, while credential records remain tied to review status and audit history.
Access, support, and collaboration
The public ISID platform is available at independentstudy.id. Users can create cards, submit credentials for review, import credential JSON templates, generate QR-linked public profiles, and manage public/private visibility.

Create and manage professional credential cards at independentstudy.id.
The .org site remains the public information, policy, and ecosystem context home for Independent Study ID. The .id domain is now the secure signing and professional credential card platform where users can register, build branded identity cards, add credential records, generate QR-linked public profiles, and manage review status.
Credential records on the .id platform show clear review states: Approved, Awaiting Approval, or Flagged / Under Review. ISID verifies submitted credential records according to platform review status and does not replace the original issuing authority unless explicitly integrated with that authority.
Institution records ISID can reference.
Credential submissions can include durable public identifiers for schools, universities, research bodies, training providers, nonprofits, companies, and issuing organizations.
These identifiers help ISID normalize issuer records and reviewer context. Badge names are identifier references only and do not imply partnership, endorsement, accreditation, or direct integration unless explicitly stated.
