A credential system built like a security protocol

ISID is designed to issue and verify independent learning credentials instantly, securely, and transparently. The goal: cryptographic proof that a credential exists and is valid, with zero personal data leakage.

.org Static public reference, institutional context, search visibility, policy routing.
.id Authoritative signing platform for accounts, cards, QR codes, and credential records.
card.independentstudy.id Pretty public card links such as card.independentstudy.id/baileyrgwyn.

privacy-first verification

Public proof without public exposure

Independent Study ID separates public credential signals from private evidence. Public profiles show only the records a cardholder chooses to publish, while sensitive uploads and reviewer material stay private unless explicitly marked public.

Credential records can be approved, awaiting approval, or flagged for review. Flagged credentials are not presented as trusted records.

Signed records

Approved credentials receive signed verification material from the authoritative ISID platform.

Unique QR codes

Each user card resolves to a dedicated public verification profile.

Review workflow

Admins can approve, hold, flag, and audit credential submissions.

Minimal disclosure

Public pages avoid leaking private documents, reviewer notes, or hidden profile data.

Authoritative links

Use the .id platform for live credential actions

Accepted source types

Institutional records ISID can review

ISID can accept structured claims from many source types when the cardholder provides enough issuer context, supporting links, or evidence for review.
